Lewiston-Altura Elementary Named a National Blue Ribbon School
Lewiston-Altura Elementary School has been recognized as a national blue ribbon school. This distinction has been awarded to 304 schools nationwide and 6 in Minnesota.
The award honors public and private elementary, middle and high schools whose students achieve at very high levels or have made significant progress and helped close gaps in achievement especially among disadvantaged and minority students.
Each year since 1982, the U.S. Department of Education has sought out schools where students attain and maintain high academic goals, including those that beat the odds.

Operating Levy Referendum 2011
This fall our School District is asking our tax payers to renew an Operating Levy that is set to expire after the 2011-2012 school year.
Public Information Meetings Have Been Scheduled for:
10/17/2011-7:00 PM-Elementary School
10/24/2011-7:00 PM-Intermediate School
11/1/2011-7:00 PM-High School
Voting to renew the expiring levy will not increase your taxes.
The referendum vote is November 8, 2011. Polls will be open from 7:00AM-8:00 PM at the Intermediate School and High School.
