Hello Lewiston-Altura Community,
My name is Kayli Zezulka. I am a new K-4 Intervention (RTI) teacher for the district!
I'm glad to work in such a great district with wonderful families and staff! I look forward to a terrific school year filled with learning and joy! I hope to help your children grow in their reading and math skills!
A little background information about me:
I grew up near Fountain, MN on a hobby farm with my parents and three siblings. I currently live in Rushford, MN with my husband, Aaron, his children, Anthony and Destiny, our daughter, Reagan, and our dog, Gunner. I have five nephews and two nieces whom I enjoy spending time with. Some of my favorite hobbies include running, crafting/sewing, kayaking, hiking, and having family time. I love coffee, watermelon, and anything sweet!
I graduated high school from Chatfield Public Schools. I completed my undergraduate at UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. I started my career in Wisconsin long-term subbing for 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 6th grade math. Then, I taught 6th grade for one year in Wisconsin. I moved back to Minnesota and taught 5th grade for three years, 1st grade for one year, and 2nd and 3rd grade for one year before joining the Lewiston-Altura Public School. When I moved back to Minnesota, I decided to earn a Masters Degree in Literacy Education from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and completed that in 2019. This is my 7th year teaching altogether.
Again, I'm very excited to be apart of this community. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
