I'm a Winona native and I obtained my teaching degree at Mankato State (Go Mavs!) where I majored in English and minored in both Speech Communications and Music. I taught for several years in MN before moving out west to get away from the winters.
Even though the weather was gorgeous, and I enjoyed my time in fabulous Las Vegas, there's no place like home and for me, Minnesota has always been home. Upon my return, I was recruited to work in the non-profit sector and for almost 20 years, I made a career in Human Services. Teaching was always my first love, however, so I am very excited to be here. I am looking forward to a fantastic year and can't wait to get to know all the wonderful students at Lewiston-Altura High School!
