April 7th, 9th, and 10th: Adrift in New York, or Her First False Step
 The definition of a melodrama is a "drama in which many exciting events happen and the characters have very strong or exaggerated emotions", and that's what we had on the LAHS stage in the spring of 2016!Adrift in New York was about a young woman named Nellie, who was tempted to pursue her dreams as a singer in New York City; however, she placed her trust in the dastardly villain, Francis Desmond, much to the dismay of her sweetheart, Jake Merriwell. Thankfully, Jack was able to defeat the cad, Desmond, and save Nellie and her family from ruin. Alls well that ended well. |
