In spring 2012, LAHS brought the musical back to its stage!
The Broadway musical, Bye Bye Birdie, was
presented April 13, 14, and 15th.

Conrad in Sweet Apple

Bye Bye Birdie is the story of the fictional Conrad Birdie (parodying Elvis Presley) who arrives in Sweet Apple, Ohio to give a farewell concert before volunteering (ahem...being drafted) into the army. He is also bestowing a goodbye kiss to one lucky fan, Kim MacAfee. Birdie's agent and songwriter, Albert Peterson, and his secretary, Rosie, are excited about the plan, but Kim's boyfriend, parents and every single teen girl in America are not so enthusiastic. How does Conrad feel? Well, he just feels "honestly sincere."
